The Center for Education Innovation recently sponsored “Read for the Record” in five Delta School Districts: West Bolivar, Benoit, West Tallahatchie, Claiborne County (see related story) and Leland (see related picture). CEI’s Literacy Coaches provided instructional ideas and strategies for the Kindergarten teachers based on book, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. Kindergarten students in all 5 school systems received their own personal copy of The Snowy Day provided by the Center.
